Recommended Reading

I once read a quote by a famous author that said:

A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one.

Reading does not just serve as a means of entertainment or distraction- it is literally food for the mind and soul.

I still remember back in the first decade of this century when reading was an avid past-time for many children growing up. Fast forward to a decade later, the habit of reading has died down. Children these days are glued to their electronic devices engaged in consuming content that does not have much benefit. The effect of this is that libraries are shutting down and there is a lot of knowledge and wisdom just sitting there, waiting to be accessed.

For a lot of adults even, life ends up getting in the way of our habits and routines and once broken. While habits are difficult to recreate, it is not impossible.

Segregated according to their main categories, here is a list of recommended reading that can give you a lot of fodder to chew on:

In time, I will post personal reviews about the books and even inviting guest writers to contribute to the list. Feel free to get in touch if you’d like to contribute.
